I love this album. It has such a chill vibe. And the audio mix is awesome. This album must be heard on a good pair of headphones to truly appreciate how well the audio mix truly is. You can literally hear every instrument being played in all the songs of this album.
Quickly getting used to the new house and expanding LP collection
It’s been a month since my family moved in to our new house and I am quickly beginning to get used to it. In fact, I am starting to like living in the new house. It’s a lot more airy than the new house, mainly because we are living on the 13th floor, instead of... Continue Reading →
My humble turntable set up
Up at last. It’s a great start. The speakers is perfect for my small room, and the space fits both the turntable and the speakers. I don’t care what purists say about putting the speakers and turntable on the same platform and affecting overall sound quality or causing audio skips due to the thumping music... Continue Reading →
Vinyl record of the week: Journey – Greatest Hits
This week’s vinyl record is Journey - Greatest Hits volume one. I am not a huge fan of their songs, but the biggest reason why this album really means a lot to me has to do with my mum. My mum is a huge fan of Journey and I fondly remember my childhood days listening... Continue Reading →
Covid-19 shipping woes
With the pandemic surging all around the world, it has put the world of logistics into disarray. With passenger flights cancelled all over the world, goods bought online and shipped out to all corners of the globe face hurdles in getting into the hands of online shoppers. Without passenger flights, these parcels cannot get to... Continue Reading →
Vinyl records are on the way. Here is the first one.
Previously I mentioned that Operation Turntable is go for launch. Ever since then I have done some research online and looked through my past (all the old songs I am familiar with during my childhood days) to see just what kind of music is worth getting on vinyl. I have bought a number of them... Continue Reading →
The Addon C10 first week impressions
It’s been roughly a week since I gotten my hands on AudioPro’s Addon C10 multi-room speakers. I have tried listening to music from a wide range of genre using the speaker and right off the bat, my initial impression was just how powerful this speaker can get when you really crank up the volume. I... Continue Reading →
Bought the AudioPro Addon C10!
Operation Turntable is go for launch. After weeks of researching, I have decided to push through in starting a new hobby: Turntables. I have decided to set up a turntable and speaker system in a small corner of my room. I have finally chosen which turntable to buy, which speakers to accompany the turntable and... Continue Reading →
The Audioengine A5+
I have had the AegoM speakers as my desktop speakers in my room for close to 7 years now. Recently, I have been looking to replace my aging speakers with a new pair, but couldn’t decide on a suitable one. The Aego M has set the bar really high in terms of audio quality, and getting my... Apple Music vs Spotify. My Personal Take
It's been close to a month since I started using Apple Music, Apple's newest streaming service, out to compete directly with Spotify. As a Spotify user for 6 months prior to Apple Music's launch, there are distinct differences between the two services. Personally, I think Apple Music has a better music collection available for streaming.... Continue Reading →
iTunes 11: A giant leap forward, a small step back.
The new iTunes 11 was released a couple of weeks ago. Many lauded the new version as the boldest change ever made in the history of iTunes. Almost everything from how your multimedia files are displayed, organised, played and looked, were given a major overhaul. After trying out extensively, iTunes 11 is a giant leap... Those who watched American Horror Story S2 will know this song.
I started watching the second season of American Horror Story season 2 and the show just gets sicker by the episode. Seriously, I don't know what is going on in the producers' and scriptwriters' head, but them thinking about sadistic stuff is really disturbing. There are several instances in the show where they played this... Continue Reading →
The Script Intimate Showcase at Avalon, Singapore
One of the best nights of 2012 was the chance to see The Script live in Singapore. They performed a special one night only showcase, at Avalon, one of the premier nightclubs at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets were sold at SGD88. It included their latest album, #3 and so far I am loving every single... Continue Reading →
iTunes Match
A couple of months ago, iTunes Singapore went live. And with it, Singapore customers using iTunes now have access to a huge library of music, and movies in which they can buy legitimately through the iTunes store. Singapore customers also get to use their relatively new service called iTunes Match. I decided to try it... Continue Reading →
My Glee Audio Collection!
Only one is missing, the Rocky Horror Show mini album. I don't quite like that album.
Get it right by Brendan James
Dedicate this song to all my friends and family, especially those who have struggled so much in life and have succeeded in being at where they are now. And for those still struggling, I wish you guys all the best. This song is especially important to me to remind myself how far I have gone... Continue Reading →
Shinedown iTunes Sessions
Everyone knows I'm a huge fan of Shinedown. Ever since I came across that band on Amazon.com (can you believe it? The power of online window shopping), I immediately bought the album, "The Sound of Madness" at my local HMV store. They had only 1 copy at the store and I took the chance to... Continue Reading →
Telephone
One of the most outrageous mtv I have ever seen in a looong time and the longest ever released in recent history. It's none other than Lady Gaga's Telephone, featuring Beyonce.Almost clocking at 10 minutes, this video plays out more like a short film. The music is interspersed throughout the video and you will see... Continue Reading →
The power of the Internet as a tool for collaboration
I read Thomas L Friedman's book, The World is Flat many years ago, and I still find the book an amazing read. A true visionary, he describes in detail the forces that truly flatten the earth, such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, the invention of the internet, the standardization of collaborative tools and...
