Current president Barack Obama’s win of this year’s pretigious Nobel Peace Prize shocked the world when it was announced a few days ago.Only months in office and he was won the coveted prize for not what he has done, but rather, what he is going to do. He has set a stage in the world for greater peace and unity among the countries, using United Nations as a platform, rigorous emphasizing a vision of a world without nuclear proliferation, fight climate change, encourage Middle East peace efforts, taking a positive and constructive stance on North Korea and more.
I do not know if he truly deserve this prize, but nonetheless, his effort are worth praising. Now that he has won the Nobel Peace Prize, I’m very sure a lot more pressure is on him to really deliver the results. The seeds are sown, and now we just have to wait and see how it is going to turn out. But personally, I’m optimistic. It has been a while since we had a global leader that has such a broad and sweeping view on how he wants the world to be, a more peaceful and united world.
