Modern Warfare 2 in my hands!

On time as well! 11/10/09. The most anticipated game ever released in gaming history is finally here! Predicted to sell more than 5 million in the first week alone, and raking in more than USD500 million, it would be the greatest release ever in videogame history, even bigger than the biggest Hollywood movie opener in any given week!

I’m pretty disappointed that Singapore banned the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2. Apparently, the Prestige Edition from the 360 version is available. I don’t know the price because I did not inquire it. Pretty disappointed that the local distro does not ship in the PS3’s prestige edition. Regardless, I wouldn’t be able to afford it anyway. It contains the night vision goggles that apparently, is a controlled item in Singapore. It would have been cool to own one. I mean, come to think of it, its the real thing, a real full fledged night vision goggle.

But I’m still happy that I got my pre-ordered copy on time. Pre-ordered weeks ago from Funzcentre together with Dragon Age Origins, but I think it would be released tomorrow. So again I have to make a trip down once more.

I pre ordered the Hardened Edition, which means it comes with a nifty artbook and a metal casing to boot! Not only that, it comes with a free download of the first Call of Duty game on PSN. Woot!

You know my exams are just around the corner, I think I should restrain myself and NOT open the package till my exams are over. I mean this game will engulf me! I’m already behind time in terms of my revision. I don’t want anymore distraction. I mean, what is there to lose? I know spoilers will be all over the net, and my friends would pester me to go and play. But I think I will say no to playing till the exams are over. I can play all I want after that. I still have Dragon Age Origins to play, not to mentioned God of War I and II remastered packs and Assassin’s Creed. My god.. what a busy month! Muahahah!
