Need to get my running mojo back

I have been running regularly for the past 5 years now. By running regularly, I mean to commit to running at least 3 times a week. Some days, I feel totally unmotivated to move my ass and to just go for a quick run. So sometimes, I fail at keeping to my thrice weekly running routine. Then there are times where I stopped running for a month or two at a time. Like right now. After my back-to-back vacation in New York and Morocco and Ramadan that just came and went, I haven’t been running for a long time. My Nike Run Club app, the app that I chose to keep track of all my runs told me that the last time I ran was sometime in the middle of April.

June has arrived and it has been close to two months since I last ran. I need to start running again. I need to stick to my gold of at least attaining at Silver in this year’s IPPT. My window opens in after my birthday. I need to get back my stamina and my running speed so that I can reach a timing to achieve a silver standard (at the very least) for my physical fitness test. I achieved it last year and I was really happy about it. Now I need to get back my stamina, while at the same time doubling down on push-ups and train my sit-ups so that I can get perfect scores on those two tests so that I won’t have to run like a mad dog, just to attain a certain score and get a silver standard.

I have a little over three months to train. I need to start now.
