Happy New Year

It’s a little bit late I know, but still, Happy New Year!!

I meant to write this blog entry earlier, but I was feeling ill for the past 3 days. I was struck with an unknown illness 2 days before the new year. I started having diarrhea, and felt lethargic. It was a classic food poisoning type of diarrhea. But the funny thing about this illness is that I did not have the typical symptoms of food poisoning, like fever, nausea, vomiting, or tummy ache. I just had diarrhea, a loss of appetite and general lethargy. It could be that I caught a milder form, which still totally decimated my good bacterial microflora in my gut. It will take a few more days before the balance is restored. Now, on the third day, I feel much better. I can go back to work now. I still have the occasional diarrhea, which means I need to have the toilet nearby and ready when I need it. But overall, my appetite is coming back, and I haven’t experienced any dramatic weight loss. It occurred so fast and sudden. I am glad it’s over, as I know that regardless of whether its the stomach flu or severe food poisoning, it would take weeks before you ever feel normal again.

I have written my resolution for 2015. I looked back at last year’s resolution, and I must say, I am quite proud at what I have achieved so far. I was quite successful in adhering to my resolutions and because of that, 2014 has been wonderful. This year, there are a few new additions, on top of the old ones that I am keeping, since it has helped me enrich my life for the past year or so. I am also taking a slightly different direction this time. You can read more on the special page I have set up just for my new year’s resolution so that I can easily access it online 24/7.

That’s all for now. I have a couple more things that I would like to write about, but I think it can wait. Happy New Year everyone!
