New Zealand

Barely a month and I’m off for another holiday. Korea was great, but the highlight has got to be my upcoming New Zealand trip. Home of Middle Earth, where precious treasures like Lembas Bread, the One Ring, and the Arkenstone can be found.

Nah I’m just kidding. I’m going to both islands with a driving tour on the south. I’m looking forward to the bungee and skydive activities that I booked a few weeks back. It will be a #yolo moment. I’m pretty scared of the bungee jump. Pure adrenaline. But I’ll be proud to say that I’d done it. Not everyone has the guts. And you can only do it at a handful of places around the world. Not doing the bungee jump in New Zealand is like, watching LOTR without Gollum in the picture.

I have also mapped the various potential spots around New Zealand that were also filming locations for both LOTR and The Hobbit Saga. Hopefully those locations lived up to their standards. It would be nice to recreate the scene you see in the movie at those locations.

We are also going to various half day and full day tours, particularly Hobbiton filming set and Weta Digital, the company that created the visual effects for LOTR. I’m hoping to get some one-of-a-kind souvenirs over there.

I’m expecting the New Zealand landscape to be breathtaking. It should be a journey with remembering.
