Artistic outlet

I am not an artist. I can’t draw beyond stick figures. But sometimes, browsing through pinterest and all the nice little DIY ideas really invoke the artistic side of me.

There are several DIY projects that I have come across that I would love to do. But sometimes it is quite challenging when you have neither the resources nor the artistic flair to make something beautiful.

I have done a couple of DIY projects that are easy with things that you need that are relatively easy (and cheap) to get. And I had a lot of fun doing it. It is one thing to admire and appreciate the beautiful things that people have made on their free time and sharing it with the rest of the world through pinterest. But it is another thing to really replicate what they did and finding sheer satisfaction in doing it correctly, and looking great based on your own effort and limited skills in the arts. In those projects that were simple enough, I could go to great lengths to get the items needed to make something. And if my efforts have yielded results, I get great satisfaction.

It is therapeutic, in short to be able to do something that is somewhat artistic. Knowing that through the things people shared through pinterest, you can follow those instruction and get pretty much the same results. I owe it to the website and the artistic people around the world for sharing all their great ideas.
