This is a little bit old news, but Olivia Lufkin, the singer who has been contributing songs for the hit manga/anime title, NANA will be performing in Paris on the 6th of July. With the recent upsurge in her popularity, due to the anime series as well as her record album, this would definitely be a big break for her. You can find more details here.
Personally, i kinda like some of her songs, especially those tracks for Nana, her mini album, The Cloudy Dreamer, were equally good as the the one released for Trapnest, though i still find that she needs to find her unique self to really sell her songs. I find her a rough gem that is waiting to be cut and polished. Right now shes under the name of Trapnest, a fictional band set in Nana. I think she can do really well if she does is independently, using her own name in the future.
