I bought a cheap foldable keyboard from Shopee. I really can’t remember the name of the keyboard, since it is made in China. It’s not really good to be honest. When folded out, it doesn’t really sit flat. Maybe it is still factory new and takes repeated use to season the hinges so that it will eventually sit flat.
The keys feels cheap, but it does a decent job in responding to keystrokes, if you make the effort in pressing the buttons a slightly harder than usual. Because this keyboard is folded in half, the hinges in the middle separates the keys apart into equal left and right halves, making typing a little awkward. Keys near the hinges are more separated in the middle and will take some getting used to before I can type efficiently. I have certain preferences in which hand I use to type certain keys and those right down the middle are the keys that will more prone to typing in errors.
Overall, I still prefer the keys on the Logitech Keys-To-Go keyboard. It is more tactile and the key placement is more natural. Given that this is a fully featured keyboard that is portable and the cheapest I can find given the decent quality, I can’t complain much so long as it gets the job done.
The upside is that since this is a foldable keyboard, it is much more compact than the Key-to-go from Logitech, which means this will fit nicely into my newly bought Elements Tech bag from Alpaka.
The keyboard is rechargeable via USB-C, making charging convenient. I am not sure how long is the battery life. The only way to know is to use it extensively, something that I am planning to do in combination with my iPad mini as my mini consumption and second portable computing device.
