What Singapore is searching about through Google Search

Zeitgeist is a Google website, that compiles the country’s top searches every month. And surprisingly, Singapore is one of the countries that they keep track of. The website tracks the top searches that the people in that country search on a particular month. Let us see what Singapore is buzzing about these days:

  1. roti prata
  2. currency exchange rate
  3. loreal
  4. motogp
  5. fengshui
  1. online dating service
  2. radio blog club
  3. healthy food
  4. city harvest church
  5. hanoi
  1. hyflux
  2. california fitness singapore
  3. pikachu
  4. hong kong hotels
  5. japanese dictionary

Roti Prata came out first quite surprisingly. I would have guessed that with singapore’s passion for food, many locals would be desperate finding out the best, new or interesting places to eat roti prata. Or i could be that singaporeans are as desperate in finding the ideal recipe to make the ideal crispy prata at home.

Other interesting hits includes online dating services, hyflux, and.. is that pikachu im seeing? hmm very thought provoking.

Perhaps the most peculiar search hits would definitely come from Pakistan:

  1. superman
  2. unilever pakistan
  3. pakistan day
    (celebrated on March 23rd)
  4. akhbar-e-jehan
    (local language magazine)
  5. nokia mobile
  1. lamborghini
  2. nestle
  3. sindhi songs
(Sindhi is spoken in Southern Pakistan)
  4. ringtones
  5. male models
  1. world cup cricket 2007
  2. torrents
  3. pcb
    (Pakistan Cricket Board)
  4. astrology
  5. punjab university lahore
P

Coming up hot is, male models. I dunno you tell me, im equally stumped on this one. Oh and watch out for “torrents” Pakistan could potentially gain a foothold in digital piracy. Bollywood torrents anyone?
