Today is the 22nd of November, the first day since the O level exams are over and im really feeling the adrenaline rush of freedom and relaxation in the weeks ahead. After 4 years of study in a secondary school, it all boils down to the crucial exams, which is the O level exams and the best part of it, the holidays after the exams.
I managed to find work to occupy my time during the next 1 to 2 months and hopefully the work is enjoyable and not too pressing. If i dont like it i can just dont turn up for work because im under no obligation to stay. My pay is performance based and if i do really well, i can get a great pay everyday, which is attractive for me but in terms of the type of work that i would be doing, i do not know yet. Hopefully i could stay longer as well as my friends who joined me. I really need the money to spend and save at the same time during the holidays.
As you know after the exams, i would have approximately 6 to 7 months of holiday, i would get my O level result in the month of March and hopefully, praying hard, my results would be what i would expect when i did for my Prelims. Thus far looking back at my performance, i am quite doubtful. But nevertheless, it is who i am.
Today was an enjoyable day. I went to an IMAX theater to catch a movie, The Matrix Revolution. IT WAS FANTASTIC! The screen was huge from top to bottom and the sound was SOLID AND POWERFUL. 12000 watts of pure energy! Audio and visual quality was Avant-Garde and kudos to IMAX
After the 25th i would be getting my new computer. Im really excited about it as i have been waiting for this moment to get my hands on a brand new computer. But i have some concerning thoughts about whether i should get a new one at this time of the month and year or wait next year. Ive recieved some feedback from friends and from the net that getting a new computer now at this end of the year might not be a good time because various computer parts with its respective brands will be unveiling new products and technological features in the year of 2004. Which means that if i buy a new computer now, i may not enjoy some of the latest technological features that will be released next year and i would have to wait 2 year MINIMUM to get it. But alas, necessity overules patience as i really needed a computer badly for my studies and entertainment:) My current computer is a classic but its too old for me to use. Again im really excited about getting it and plugging it to use it for the first time.
Hari Raya is coming, which means that i have to do MAJOR spring cleaning in my room and GOD! look at the mess in my room and all the dust that have been collecting in nooks and crannies all around my room for the past 2 years. Why 2 years? Because i did not do spring cleaning last year, hehe! Anyway its was good to do it to make way for my new computer and to welcome it to my room looking fresh and clean.
Besides computer, i have 3 great computer games that i have been eyeing for, slated for release in November and December. They are Star Wars, Knights of the Old Republic, Prince of Persia, Sands of Time and Neverwinter Nights, Hordes of the Underdark, third expansion of the game. The first one mentioned is slated for release on 1st of December in Singapore, (18th in US) the second and third game is slated for release on 2nd December. So 3 games in the first 2 days. Furthermore, i start my work on the first day of my work. Bane, because i wouldnt be able to enjoy the game as much because i have to work from 9 to 5 everyday for 5 1/2 days a week. This means that i would be able to play only at night and weekends. Furthermore, all 3 games are release one day after another and i have a great desire to play this games as much as i can. Boon, because since i work i have pay and since i have pay i can use it to purchase my game. Convenient eh?
Ill be pretty busy doing various activities, like work, getting new computer, play games and ultimately chatching up on my reading of Fantasy books! I have about 4 books bought but still unread because of my exams and the delays and the busy schedules like coming back to schools and cleaning up the house and finding out about my computer. there are so many tasks to do that i have put reading as the last thing that i would do. And now with the new computer and games coming along with my work, i have little time to read. I planned to finish reading all the 4 books that are unread by end of this year, but i dont think that would happend. Neverwind anyway, im in no rush to read. After i get my results in March, i would most likely stopped working for maybe find a less time demading job so that i could spend more time at home and catch up on my reading.
In january, im looking forward to my Holiday with my family. My family and I are going to Australia Gold Coast and Sydney for 9 days!! Im really excited about it and hoped that the trip goes as planned. Ive been looking forward to a day where i could go to Australia for a holiday.
So this wraps up my November December highlights and hoped that anyone reading this journal might understand that i wouldny be updating too much here anymore. Everything now is according to “plan”,which is find a job, get some money, get a computer after my exams which falls nicely with the arrival of my game. This is too convenient for me that somehow i might think that i might stumble into something unfortunate and change my life forever. But in the end no one knows and the only way to know is to move forward with life. Cheers to everyone and anyone who has a chance to read my journal and for all the support you have given me along with my friends and families and teacher.
Cheers!
