So you know from my previous post that I have been on a luxury watch buying spree. In a span of less than 6 months, I have bought 3 luxury watches, one from Tudor and 2 from Omega. These are fantastic watches.
I first bought the Black Bay Ceramic from Tudor, a Master Chronometer METAS certified diver watch that is all black ceramic, including the movement that is PVD coated in black, giving it a stealthy look.

Then I got the Omega Seamster Aquaterra, blue, in stainless steel. This is a slightly more dressier watch, but renown as go-anywhere-do-anything (GADA) watch and it shows. The design is simple yet elegant and is also a METAS certified watch from the Seamster line of watches.

Finally, my latest acquisition, is the Omega Speedmaster Professional, a watch rich in heritage and a historical close ties to NASA and its astronauts.

But what you guys don’t know is that I have very skinny wrists. Watches with lug-to-lug width of more than 50mm or watch faces more than 42mm looks ridiculously big on my wrist. This makes a selection of watches that look good on my wrist rather narrow. While I applaud the Swiss watch industry in taking the right direction in releasing new watches with smaller variants, the strap is always an issue for me. It is just too big and it doesn’t fit. This forces me to switch to third party watch straps
Thankfully, I came across a local watch strap brand from Delugs and ever since I bought my first one from them to replace the leather and rubber hybrid strap by Tudor to an all leather one from Delugs, I have become a convert. Their straps are amazing and high quality. It is super comfortable too. It is a little pricey but I am confident that their straps are made to last.
Ever since then, whenever I bought a new watch, I will always pay a visit to their showroom at Ubi to immediately swap out the original strap that came with the watch to one from Delugs. The subsequent straps were all rubber straps and they are equally comfortable. They even have matching clasp and all rubber straps are cut to size, meaning that they will measure your wrist and cut the excess rubber straps to fit your wrist. Once that is done, it looks amazing. Just look at the strap that I swapped for my Speedmster, Aquaterra and recently the Tudor.

You can definitely bet that my future watch purchases will be paired wth Delugs and nothing else. They have never disappointed me. Their showroom is cosy with ample sofa and lounge areas for you to rest while the staff expertly replaces the straps for you. They have all the tools they need to replace them and you don’t have to worry about damaging your watch. They are skilled in replacing them. For those who are reading this and are considering replacing their straps, give Delugs a try. They do international shipping too!
