New Zealand Road trip in two weeks!

Next week, I will be taking the entire month off from work. Yes the entire month. Looking back, I have not taken leave from work for the whole of 2024 until now. I have saved and brought over some from 2024 and now I have plenty to leave days to burn. 

Tomorrow will be the last day until I take my extended break, at which I will just rest relax and enjoy my free time at home. And then the most anticipated moment of 2024; a road trip to the South Island of New Zealand spanning two weeks! My friends (who happen to be colleagues as well) started planning this trip about 5 months ago. And now the time is almost here. 

Everyone is excited. Everyone is dying for a good break from work and change in scenery. We will be doing so many activities while we are there, from sky-diving, to white water rafting, to kayaking and a whole host of hiking in various trail long and short. 

We will be renting a car and begin our road trip in Queenstown, stopping to many places along our route around the island. We will be traveling counter-clockwise, which is in a different direction the last time I was there on a road trip with my family.  We booked all our accommodations through AirBnB and most of them look absolutely gorgeous. We just cannot wait to just sit back and relax and enjoy the beautiful nature that New Zealand has to offer. 

I will be bringing my iPad mini for navigation and blogging purposes, providing timely updates to your trip in New Zealand. Hopefully I will have some time to write. Looking at my itinerary, it seems packed to the brim with things to do, places to see and explore. 

Everything is set. Airlines tickets secured, accommodations confirmed and activities planned out. Now it is just up to us to be there and savour the moment.
