Reading reading reading…..

This past month, in fact the past year till now, i have have been reading a lot of books. Alot mind you, more than 25 books in the past 12 months. This surge and rekindling of the passion of reading has benefited me a lot. I realised that my command in English has improved tremendously and i also realised that it is easier for me now to input good vocabulary in my writing. Though my writing skills needs to be improved, but i feel that i dont have any difficulties in choosing the right words when writing. I am very confident that i will do fairly well in my upcoming O Level English Oral Examination provided that everything goes according to plan.

Even though i have spent considerable time reading, i still managed to time well and study for any exams or tests that are just around the corner. But there is something that i regreted doing, that is not being able to start studying for the upcoming shadow exams. I should has started earlier and the teachers should inform the arrival of the shadow exams much sooner, so that i can be prepared. Im weary of Science and POA subjects, as these kind of subjects needs to revise from the begining of the syllabus to the end. Many facts and formulaes have been forgotten and i seriously need brushing up. Im quite confident in my maths nowadays, and able to do well provided that nervousness and anxiousness would not become the better of me. Other than that, whatever results i should get, hope its not that bad.

As for reading books, i particularly like fantasy books. I dunno whether ive stated this before but i fee that fantasy books are among the best genre to improve your english. Great authors write books with a powerful command in English and uses powerful and beautifully contructed phrases and description that just leave you in awe. Authors like Terry Brooks and Phillip Pullman are among the best in description. As in character development, R.A Salvatore and Robin Hobb excels in that area. Fantasy books are works of art and vocabulary used are relevant in my essay writing.

Thats it for now, however on the 6th of August do come back here again for a little surprise that i put up here in this very journal. Adios!
